I think that Lloyd Botimer is a very interesting person. I really like this story, too.

Thank you for this wonderful website! What a great way for myself and Lloyd's other grandchildren to remember a wonderful grandfather and for future generations to learn about him.

Excellent job. Lloyd was my stepfather. My mother was his third wife. My wife and I were with them in Phoenix when Lloyd received his Legion of Honor and two days later when Lloyd died. If you'd like a DVD of his award ceremony, please let me know.

Thank you for making this. I realize how cool and interesting my Great-grandfather was. I have read his book, "Then and Now" multiple times and I miss him dearly. My younger brother's middle name is Lloyd, after him. I am related to Ruth, his second wife.

Wow. What a wonderful job you did. It brought tears to my eyes and such a feeling of honor that this was
a man that I was privilaged to know and love.
He was so much more, but to me he was just a really cool awesome grandpa!

Theresa, you did a great job with this presentation. I learned a lot and got tears in my eyes. This is a great way to understand the history of an American family member, and a way to honor them for welcoming you into their family. I am very proud of you and to have you with us at YFU.

Oh my gosh! This is awesome! I have nerver seen some of these photos nor the letters Grandpa sent. Thank you Theresa for digging into my family history. I trust you received an A+ you did from me. Sorry I did not meet you when I was in Spring Lake a few weeks ago. All the best for a good school year.
    Sincerely Denise

The Wordens are pictured on the Photos page...click each photo for details. At the time of Lloyd's letter, they were the parents of his high school sweetheart who he married after returning from France.
